Principles Of Joy is currently the hottest Soul combo in Europe. They're coming from famed Q-Sounds Recording’s studios, the One & Only French Soul music label since 2009.
P.O.J first started in 2017. It's a mix of original members of Q-Sounds’ crew of musicians and newcomers. They're led by Ludo Bors, the label's keyboard and flute player but also composer and founder member of the label. Fronted by Soul Sister Rachel Yarabou, the band plays a deep and intense Soul mixing southern mid tempos & Northern Soul floor fillers. Their compositions are composed and written by the duo Ludovic Bors/Christelle Amoussou.
Principles of Joy's discography consists of one 7inch (2018) and 2 albums (2019 ; 2022). These records were playlisted on major radio shows like the Carl Craig Funk & Soul Show on BBC6, Radio Krimi, FIP (French National Network) and many other soul shows around the world. The band even appeared on French National Television (France Ô - Témoins d’Outre-Mer - June 2019).
In spring 2022, after releasing their second album P.O.J did a much acclaimed tour across Europe (Germany/Switzerland/Netherlands/Belgium) with Soul singer Carlton Jumel Smith ("Lexington Avenue" - Timmion Records). The feedbacks were so extactic that just a year later they came back to Germany for another round of gigs including a show as Soul Headliner at the famous Freedom Sounds Festival in Köln in April 2023. P.O.J's third album is already in the starting blocks.  It's scheduled for a release on 1st March 2024 at Q-Sounds Recording. According to some tremendous reviews, this new opus is on the line to be one of the best contemporary Soul records of the decade ! Let's wait and see !
